TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say a motorcyclist is dead after a crash near East 41st Street and South Garnett Road around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night.
Lieutenant Matt Arnold tells us the rider rear-ended a truck as both were heading eastbound on 41st. The crash launched the motorcyclist off their bike.
The motorcyclist was able to stand up but was reportedly disoriented, and walked across the road into traffic heading the opposite direction.
Lieutenant Arnold says that’s when the rider was hit and pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers found beer in a backpack the motorcyclist had in their possession, but investigators are still working to determine if alcohol played a role.
The victim has not yet been identified.
