Man searching for answers after brother disappeared in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Eric Tarver has been searching for his brother, John “Joey” Tarver since he disappeared in Fed. 2020.

Eric said Joey was last seen at DD’s Double Shots bar near 11th and Sheridan and fears something happened to him.

“Everyday I wait on him to call wait on a text for him we haven’t gotten that in two years and it’s like I’ve said since day one it’s very unlike him not to contact family,” said Eric.

He said Joey was visiting Tulsa from Pike County Mississippi which is nine hours away.

He said Joey posted a picture on Facebook that was taken at DD’S Double Shots Bar but that’s the last that anyone’s heard from him, his phone’s bene turned off and he’s had no activity on social media.

Eric said there is a warrant out for Joey’s arrest but he doesn’t think that has anything to do with his disappearance.

He said Joey missed a meeting with his probation officer and he said the warrant was issued months before he disappeared.

“He’s got a warrant out for his arrest for not showing up for probation but he had a warrant out for his arrest when he was at my house on December 16 (2020) which I didn’t know he had a warrant but come to find out since all this has happened he had a warrant then,” said Eric.

Eric said his family just want answers, “if anybody out there knows anything to please come forward please contact me I mean I wouldn’t wish this on anybody it’s my worst nightmare.”

The OSBI has issued a post on their Facebook page asking for information and you’re asked to call them or the Tulsa Police Department is you have any information about Joey.

Eric has started a GoFundMe campaign to try to put his brother’s picture on billboards.
