87-year-old ejected from backhoe, dies

An 87-year-old is dead following a single-vehicle wreck in Sequoyah County Monday night.

KRMG has learned John Reese was driving through a field around 10:08 p.m. In a press release, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report Reese's backhoe overturned while going over a hill.

“Driver was ejected coming to rest between the ground and canopy of the backhoe,” OHP said.

Reese was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
