Woman arrested for reportedly prowling around Claremore homes

CLAREMORE, Okla. — Deputies in Claremore arrest a woman for allegedly prowling in the backyard of homes.

Deputies say they've been recieving reports since December of someone lurking around the neighborhood with a flashlight, and staring into people's homes.

One homeowner said someone tried to pry the screen off her daughter’s bedroom window, so they went out and bought security cameras.

Surveillance video helped police arrested Lynda Padgett on suspicion of stalking and first-degree burglary.

We're told she was released and arrested again within two hours after a girl reported seeing Padgett right back in her backyard.

Padgett now remains in custody at the Roger’s County jail.
