Wheel chair patient robbed during garage cleaning agreement

Claremore, Okla. — Two men are accused of breaking into an elderly woman's home while she is confined to a wheel chair.

Bryan Wharton and Matthew Adams (shown) were arrested Monday in Claremore.

Adams had an agreement with the victim Dovie Horton to clean her garage.

Adams was working in the garage that day and let Wharton in.

Wharton was wearing a ski mask when he went into Dovies bedroom and stole 80 OxyContin, 110 oxycodone, 90 zanaflex and between 300 and 500 dollars in cash.

They also took her phone so she wouldn’t call 911.

Deputies tell us the suspects planned the robbery for a week and intended to split the pills 50/50.
