VA hiring nurses for eastern Oklahoma facilities

If you’re a nurse, and you’re looking for a job, the VA hospitals and clinics in eastern Oklahoma would like to talk to you.

They held a job fair today, but the lead recruiter, Kathy Lawrence, says they’ll be interviewing people next Friday too.

“And if we need to keep opening Fridays, until we see everybody who wants to come in and talk to us face-to-face, we’ll do so,” she said.

She says the VA has very competitive job benefits.

Acute care and ICU nurses are what they need the most right now, but she says there’s a lot of other open jobs, including management-level positions.
