UPDATE: Deputies investigating murder-suicide; Victim's 7-year-old daughter talks to 911

[Editor's Note: After reviewing the full 11 minutes of the 911 call from this 7-year-old girl to the Muskogee County dispatchers, it is the judgment of KRMG News to only air a 4-second portion of the 911 call with only the dispatcher's voice, and make no portion available for download. This child will face enough challenges in her days ahead without having to face the perpetual availability of an audio recording as she watched her mother die. ~Joe Kelley]

Each instance of sharing 911 dispatch calls is judgment . After reviewing this call, KRMG News has opted to only air 4-seconds of the call with just the dispatcher's voice and make none available online.

Muskogee County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a murder-suicide that happened while the victim's 7-year-old daughter was in the other room.

Deputy Coletta Peyton tells KRMG that a woman's ex-boyfriend showed up at her apartment and shot her before turning the gun on himself. The woman's 7-year-old daughter was in her bedroom when the shootings occured.

The woman was able to dial 911 but was only able to tell dispatchers that she had been shot. The woman's child picked up the phone and told dispatchers that her mom had been shot.

The little girl was unable to give dispatchers her address so dispatchers had her go to her neighbor's apartment for help.

Officers responded to the Howard Johnson Apartments on 6th Street and found the child's mother and the ex-boyfriend dead.

Investigators have not released the victim's or suspect's names.
