Two arrested for plot to keep terrorists warm

The men were arrested after a sting caught them trying to send warm winter clothes to Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
Humayoun Ghoulan Nabi and Ismael Alsarabbi were trying to make a deal with a clothing supplier and had even looked at a warehouse where they could store the clothes.

The NYPD announced the arrests and told The New York Times "the defendants stated that the source of the Americans' strength is their equipment, specifically good jackets, good googles, good GPS."

The two also sent money to Pakistan.
Even though the men were caught before they could export anything they will be charged with second-degree soliciting or providing support for an act of terrorism, and fifth-degree conspiracy.
An attorney for one of the men said they were tricked by an informant that was being paid by the United States government.
"They frequently entrap people who are young and opinionated, it is an outrage."
