TULSA — If live music is your bag, then Tulsa’s definitely a good place to live according to a new study released this week.
The study based its findings on the top 100 highest-grossing acts, by genre, and adjusted for population.
Tulsa ranked eighth in the country overall.
The city came in tenth for country music shows, ninth for rock acts, and seventh for pop concerts.
Most of the shows included in SeatGeek’s survey played downtown at the BOK Center, which has consistently brought big name acts to town since it opened ten years ago.
That includes shows this spring and summer by Blake Shelton, Pink, U2, and The Eagles.
The top-ranked city for big name acts comes as no surprise - Las Vegas, Nevada took top honors by a huge margin.
Nashville, Tennessee came in second.
