Tulsa Police search for two suspects after chase, crash

Tulsa police say a driver is still at large after escaping from a crashed vehicle after a chase, despite hitting a concrete abutment and then hitting a telephone pole so hard that it split the pole.

Police said the chase began around 3:30 this morning after an officer tried to pull over a Jeep Gladiator for a traffic violation near 11th and Yale.

The say that as the Jeep was headed eastbound, a passenger bailed out near 13th Street and 73rd East Avenue.

Police said the driver of the Jeep continued east on 15th Street, where they eventually hit the abutment and telephone pole, causing the Jeep to roll over near 15th and Memorial.

They believe the driver got out through the sunroof and ran away.

Police said there was no sign of injury inside the vehicle, despite the fact that it appears the driver had the seatbelt buckled behind them.

The passenger who bailed out is also still at large.
