BROKEN BOW — A sad story to report out of McCurtain County.
In a press release, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report two girls, ages 11 and 16, were killed in a crash Friday night near Broken Bow. The collision happened around 10:20 p.m. on US259.
“Vehicle 1 (containing the victims) was northbound on US259,” OHP press release said. “Vehicle 1 was attempting to turn left
into a private drive. Vehicle 2 was southbound, and struck Vehicle 1 while it was attempting the turn.”
Troopers add the driver of the second vehicle did have an odor of alcohol on him.
Both girls are from Tulsa. Their names haven’t been released.
