A package in the mail helps Tulsa detectives catch a man accused of sexually abusing a child.
The investigation started two weeks ago when the Cyber Crimes Unit received a cellphone in the mail from an unknown individual. A police supervisor reports the phone contained child pornography.
“Detectives were able to link the phone to (Zachary) Newberry and identify an 11 year old victim, whom Newberry allegedly sexually abused.
Rogers County deputies contributed with the arrest.
Newberry has been booked on counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 12 and manufacturing child pornography.
