Trooper, former Sooner player charged in Oklahoma

Earlier this week KRMG told you about a former Mcloud police officer accused of committing sex crimes.

Now comes word a current Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and former University of Oklahoma football player was charged this week with five counts of unauthorized use of the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunication System. Cleveland County court records show 40-year-old Rodney Rideaux is accused of using his work technology to harass and stalk women he met at Fitness One Gym in Norman.

Newsok.com reports he has been placed on administrative leave.

Rideaux also played football for the New England Patriots.

KRMG will update the story as the case moves through the court system.
