Three suspects arrested in connection to several Tulsa dispensary robberies

TULSA, Okla. (KOKI) — Tulsa police say a group of suspected armed robbers they have in custody, could be tied to crimes in other cities, possibly other states.

Detectives are asking neighboring agencies to check cases to see if the group fits the description of any unsolved robberies in their jurisdictions recently.

Matthew Spears, Thomas Spears and Isaiah Williams are suspected of working together to rob dispensaries over the last several months stealing thousands of dollars in cash and product.

Police say the same business, House of Fire Dispensary near 68th and Peoria, has been hit three different times.

Matthew Spears and Williams are charged in a robbery there on December 30th, 2020.

Matthew Spears is also charged with robbing the store on June 27th.

Matthew Spears and Thomas Spears are charged with robbing it on July 19th.

An affidavit says Williams admitted to TPD detectives that he and Matthew Spears also robbed the Toke and Grow in Bartlesville on January 15th.

Williams is charged in that case. He’s being held in the Washington Co. jail and is currently undergoing court proceedings there.

Meanwhile, Tulsa Police arrested the Spears’ brothers last week.

They say surveillance video, witnesses and other anonymous tipsters helped them to identify the suspects.

Police added it is odd that the group would take a several month break from January to June, so they feel the group may have gone to other cities to carry out crimes.

The group is known to have ties to the Kansas City area.

Police are asking anyone that has any information about other crimes to email TPDrobbery@cityoftulsa.org or call CrimeStoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
