BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Seventeen-year-old Deonte Green entered a blind plea in court Wednesday after a crime spree in 2017 that included rape and murder.
A blind plea essentially means pleading guilty without having a deal with prosecutors.
Green was 16 when he's accused of shooting Broken Arrow middle school teacher Shane Anderson to death during a home invasion and raping an 81-year-old woman in a separate incident.
The plea was entered less than a month before his trial was to start.
Sentencing is now scheduled in July.
