TULSA — The latest festival to cancel during the pandemic is the Plaza District Festival.
The Plaza District Association and Plaza Business Alliance released Monday that they decided to cancel the Plaza District Festival scheduled for Saturday, October 3.
“The magic of this event occurs when a large amount of people come together in celebration of the arts and the district, and that is not something we should be promoting or doing right now,” said Plaza District Executive Director Selena Skorman.
Organizers of Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa have also announced the event is cancelled for the first time in its history.
The event was scheduled to begin Oct. 21.
Organizers expect to be back for the festival in 2021.
Scotfest in Broken Arrow is also cancelled.
