Sand Springs Public Schools raises $3,000 for Special Olympics

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Sands Springs Public Schools has raised $3,000 for the Sandite Special Olympics.

The funds were raised through the fifth annual Monster Ball. The Halloween-themed event included a baseball game, trunk-or-treating, a parade, and a hayride.

Participants raised more than twice the amount previously raised in 2020. “Our annual Monster Ball was an overwhelming success,” said Director of Special Education and Enrollment Carrie Schlehuber.

You can still donate to the Sandite Special Olympics. You can send a check to Sandite Special Education at 13 W. Broadway Street, Sand Springs, OK 74063. You can list Sand Springs Public Schools and write “Special Olympics” in the memo.
