Tulsa, Okla. — The National Weather Service says light rain will become a wintry mix of rain, sleet, snow and freezing rain early Wednesday.
Moderate to heavy wet snow is possible.
A gradual change to more of a rain/freezing rain/sleet mix will occur during the day Wednesday.
A second system will follow and limit the overall icing potential east of Tulsa.
Elevation will play a big role as the difference of a degree or two could mean the difference between a glaze of ice and a tenth or two of icing.
Strong winds are not expected.
This second round will taper off during the day Thursday.
