Power restoration continues in Okmulgee area

Okmulgee, Okla. — PSO crews and others are working to get the remaining 1,300 customers back online in the Okmulgee area, including at a nursing home. Part of a roof was peeled back and another roof was blown off on the campus at OSU-Okmulgee Tech. We're told Saturday night storms initially left 16,000 customers without power in south Tulsa, but power was restored yesterday. High winds were the cause of most of the outages, causing trees to fall and some electric transformers to explode. There were no reports of injury.
