PGA selects Southern Hills Country Club for 2022 championship

TULSA — The Tulsa economy will get a much needed economic boost in 2022 after organizers announced Monday that the PGA of America has chosen Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa as the location for the 2022 PGA Championship.

Southern Hills has hosted several previous major championships.

The next Tulsa event wasn’t scheduled until 2030, but recent schedule changes allowed for a return in 2022.

Organizers are still working on logistics and plan to release more to the public possibly next week.
