Oklahoma woman sentenced for plot involving ricin

KRMG has updated information regarding an Oklahoma woman accused of using the internet to solicit the killing of her ex-husband in Israel.

Court records show Danielle Layman pleaded guilty on Thursday to possession of ricin. Layman entered the guilty plea in exchange for prosecutors agreeing to dismiss a charge of using the internet in a murder-for-hire scheme.

KRMG told you back in June of last year how the FBI learned about Layman's plot to kill her ex-husband with ricin.  For reference, it’s a poison made with beans of castor oil plants.

She now faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
