The State of Oklahoma has reached a settlement with Purdue Pharma, one of the companies named in the state’s lawsuit against drugmakers.
Attorney General Mike Hunter announced the $270 million dollar settlement at OSU-Tulsa Tuesday.
Hunter says the settlement includes a $200 million endowment directed toward OSU’s Center for Wellness and Recovery.
In addition to the $200 million endowment, AG Hunter said Purdue will provide addiction treatment medicine, a $20 million value, to OSU’s addiction treatment facility.

More could be on the way, as AG Hunter says the state will continue it’s case against other drug manufactures it says contributed to the opioid crisis.
The trial against Johnson & Johnson, Teva and the other defendants named in the state’s lawsuit remains on track for May 28.
