Oklahoma leaders react to President Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma leaders are sending well wishes to President Donald Trump after he and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 early Friday morning.

White House officials said Trump was suffering “mild, cold-like” symptoms after testing positive.

Gov. Kevin Stitt offered his prayers for the president and First Lady.

Stitt became the first U.S. governor to test positive for COVID-19 in July.

U.S. Sen. James Lankford and Rep. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma wished the Trumps a “speedy recovery.”

Christie and I are praying for a full and speedy recovery for President Trump and the First Lady.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden extended his best wishes as well.

“Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery. We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family.” Biden tweeted.
