OKLAHOMA CITY — Newly elected Oklahoma senators and representatives were sworn into office on Wednesday and Thursday.
They’ve already voted on several new positions.
In the House, the new Republican caucus on Wednesday picked Speaker of the House Charles McCall to serve another term as its top leader.
Democrats in the Oklahoma House of Representatives have elected a 32-year-old Norman attorney to lead the minority caucus for the next two years.
Sen. Kay Floyd, of Oklahoma City, has been selected to lead Senate Democrats.
House Republicans expanded their majority and now have a 76-25 advantage over Democrats.
Senate Republicans have a 39-9 edge.
