New Hampshire ventilator company recruiting Oklahoma workers

Demand is so high for ventilators right now during the pandemic, a company from New Hampshire that makes ventilators came all the way to Oklahoma looking for assembly workers.

The company ‘Vapotherm’ has been working with the Muscogee Creek Nation this week on a job fair.

“As these (Covid) surges happen, I think people are getting a little bit tired, but now I think the demands are even more so now we have to spread our wings a little bit,” said Michael Markus with Vapotherm.

That means they’re recruiting people from out of state to travel to New Hampshire for a three-month gig assembling ventilators.

It pays $21 an hour and includes a $3,000 dollar bonus.

They’re even paying for the flight and for housing and transportation for the workers while they’re in New Hampshire.

They’ve having another hiring event tomorrow on Wednesday the 15th at RespirCare Open Access at 1018 S. Wood Drive in Okmulgee from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
