TULSA — Brain injury victims now have two major players in the local community on their side.
This weekend Chris Lieberman and Kim Hann are holding their first annual fundraising event for the Brain Injury Recovery Foundation at Cain's Ballroom.
The couple knows a lot about organizing events.
They are behind the Route 66 Marathon and the Center of the Universe Festival.
Lieberman suffered a brain injury in 2016 after falling off a ladder.
“I had pretty much given up on life,” said Lieberman. “I thought I was going to have to live in a wheelchair and need help.”
Doctors out of state told Hann to go home and start a new life.
She ignored the advice and stuck by Chris, who is now improving.
The foundation will help people by raising awareness, funds and resources.
