New details released, days after a Tulsa woman’s body was found in a burning RV

TULSA, Okla. — We are learning more about the woman who died in an RV fire last week. Jennifer Danielle Ball was a 41-year-old mom and a former school teacher.

Her twin sister, Kimberly Rassmussen, says she’d been struggling with homelessness and had some mental health issues.

“She just got in a dark place and couldn’t get out,” Rassmussen said.

Kimberly spoke with FOX23 from Mississippi, telling us Jennifer had been staying with her boyfriend in his RV.

“They’d been living in their vehicle in Walmart parking lots, Flying J parking lot, and sleeping at the camper storage facility,” she said.

She says she spoke with a detective and medical examiner and confirmed the body as her sister’s based on identification markers.

The night of the fire, Jennifer posted to Facebook saying, “I’m literally on the street with nowhere to go and I am freezing. All shelters are full. I am in flip-flops. I’m on Mingo. I don’t know what to do or anything. My boyfriend and me broke up and we were living out of his vehicle he has all my clothes and won’t give them back to me.”

That’s the only clue her family has about her final hours. The medical examiner says her cause of death is unknown and pending, and the answers could take months. The family is not sure where Jennifer’s boyfriend was when the fire happened, or why she couldn’t escape.

The family set up a GoFundMe Page to help with medical expenses for the funeral, since Jennifer didn’t have a job or insurance at the time.
