Midtown Tulsa businesses plagued by ‘smash and grab’ burglaries

Someone, maybe the same person, has broken into at least four businesses in the same general area in midtown Tulsa during the past week.

Last night, Jane’s Delicatessen at 11th and Birmingham got hit.

The crook broke in through a glass side-door and took the cash register and a computer.

Owner Dane Tannehill discovered the mess as he arrived to work and was taking it mostly in stride.

“It’s not what I was looking forward to, y’know, obviously. I was in a pretty good mood this morning,” Tannehill said.

Flo’s Burger Diner, which is right next door, was also burglarized in the same manner the day before.

Not far away, the Sweets and Cream shop at 11th and Yale and the Beyond Skin Deep spa near 15th and Harvard were both burglarized by someone who smashed their way in through a glass door.

Flo’s Diner got a fairly good look at a suspect and his SUV on their surveillance cameras.
