Man who ‘does not answer to the Constitution’ arrested after trying to bite officer

A man was arrested Monday morning after police say a traffic stop ended with the driver trying to bite an officer.

It started around 3 a.m. when officers say the driver failed to use his turn signal. He was pulled over, but did not cooperate with police, TPD said.

The driver, eventually identified as Al Alaahcontayna, told officers he was Moorish, a self-proclaimed sovereign citizen, and did not answer to the Constitution of the United States.

Alaahcontayna told officers he was ending the conversation and driving home.

TPD said Alaahcontayna obeyed all traffic laws as he drove home. Upon arriving, he attempted to go inside as police told him he was under arrest.

A struggled ensued and police say Alaahcontayna tried to bite an officer.

Police used a TASER to subdue him and take him into custody.

Officers said they found a gun and marijuana in Alaahcontayna’s car.

Alaahcontayna was arrested for various traffic charges as well as assault and battery on a police officer and possession of marijuana.
