Man arrested for choking death of 19-year-old.

Tulsa, OK — Police say someone strangled Kelsey Tennant at her south Tulsa apartment complex near 71st and Mingo.

The19-year-old was in critical condition when hospitalized, she died overnight turning this into a homicide.  Investigators believe the woman walked in on Gregory Epperson burglarizing her home.  Cops say Epperson is friends with the woman’s neighbor.

The victim's boyfriend became worried when he couldn’t reach her so he went to apartment and found her on the floor. It’s believed the boyfriend found Epperson in the apartment and fought with him. Cops say Epperson got away and went to the apartment next door, that’s where he was arrested.

Tennant is Tulsa's 16th homicide.
