Lankford issues 5th annual 'Federal Fumbles' report

TULSA — Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma released the fifth volume of his annual “Federal Fumbles” report Monday, and the situation has gotten even more dire in the last year.

Between 2019 and 2029, he says, it's estimated that the federal debt will grow to 95% of the annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is the total value of all goods and services produced in the country.

Lankford says if federal spending was cut by a hundred billion dollars annually, the country could catch up and break even after about ten years.

But it would take another 230 years to pay off the debt that has already accrued.

You can watch his entire video below, or on the Senator's Youtube Channel.
