Human remains confirmed to be missing Turley man

76-year-old Jack Grimes is one of 4 people who went missing in the area recently

Human remains that were found Sunday near 56th Street North and Lewis have been identified as belonging to one of four people who have gone missing over the last few weeks in the Turley area.

Tulsa County Sheriff Vic Regalado says the remains, which were found in a wooded area by hunters on Sunday morning, are those of 76-year-old Jack Grimes.

“Jack was last seen in the company of Dwayne Selby on or around October 22nd, and they were reportedly in Jack’s red Ford Taurus. Both were supposed to be going to Fort Worth, Texas to a horse show,” Sheriff Regalado said.

The Taurus was later discovered in Mohawk Park.

Selby is still missing along with Selby’s mother, Glenda “Cookie” Parton, who went missing after going to look for the two men.

Her car was found near 56th Street North and Highway 75, less than a mile from where Grimes’ remains were found.

Meantime, Shannon Miller is another Turley man who has recently vanished.

That case is being handled by the Feds, because he’s a tribal citizen.

So far there hasn’t been any information that would connect his disappearance with the other three, other than proximity.
