Homeowner ambushed as he returns home overnight

A Tulsa man returns home late Friday night and a suspect jumps out from behind a trash can and pistol whips him.

Then more men come from around a house to steal his wallet.

Police say the armed robbery happened around 11:45 a.m., near 15th and Harvard.

It's believed the suspects may have known the victim, because the man overheard somebody say, "he was paid today, so get his wallet."

The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the victim didn't give much of a description of the suspects because he was still a little woozy from his injury.
