Heavy rain, severe storms, snow & sleet all possible in the next 2 days

We’re in for a wild ride over the next 36-48 hours in northeast Oklahoma.

Spring-like severe storms, snow and sleet are all possible between now and the end of the day Thursday.

After a windy and warm day Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Tulsa is forecasting showers and storms overnight into Thursday.

Forecasters said heavy rainfall is likely, with a chance of severe storms. We’re told up to an inch of rain is possible.

By Thursday, the temperatures plunge and forecasters are calling for rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet likely between 9am and 12pm.

After 12pm, we’re told it will transition to all snow.

With temperatures in the 20s, forecasters say ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch is possible. Snow and sleet accumulation of less than half of an inch is possible.

Expect a bitterly cold night Thursday night, with low temperatures below 20°.

Good news for Friday and beyond, temperatures rebound to the 50s on Friday and temperatures are expected to reach the 60s Saturday and push to near 70° Sunday.
