WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — On Sunday, Wagoner County Deputy Bill Sieg was responding to an area near Gertrude and Cherokee in the City of Wagoner for a suspect with a felony warrant.

Deputy Sieg was able to find the suspect, identified as Skyler Koons and confirmed that Koons had four outstanding Wagoner County warrants for his arrest.

As Deputy Sieg was attempting to take him into custody, Koons attempted to flee.

Koons was able to reach the 600 block of East Church Street, when Aundra Rhea assisted tackled him to the ground.

Deputy Sieg was able to take Koons into custody.

Sheriff Elliott stated "I have always maintained that the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office cannot police this county without the assistance and cooperation of all the law enforcement entities of this county. This particular case a citizen partnered with the Wagoner County Sheriff's in capturing a fugitive. Mr. Rhea saw a deputy in foot pursuit and assisted with the apprehension. When Mr. Rhea turns 21, I believe I will send him a job application and an invitation to join the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office law enforcement team. Job well done Mr. Rhea!"
