Electrical explosion causes critical injury

Tulsa, Okla. — Two people are injured in an electrical explosion at a metal casting company.

The explosion was reported at around 9 p.m. Thursday near 2400 East Independence Street.

A witness said, “I live right here so I started hearing big booms so I look out the window,” he said.

“The fire and smoke and people were running everywhere so there was a lot of action.”

We're told one victim was badly burned, but the other victim was treated and released.

Tulsa firefighters had to use chemicals to put the fire out.

The explosion is under investigation.
