Elderly man attacked in Tulsa

A 47-year-old suspect was taken into custody Thursday night after allegedly assaulting and verbally abusing an elderly man.

The scene happened around 8:20 p.m. near 19th and Riverside.

Tulsa World reports Troy Greer apparently punched the victim in the face twice, attempted to stab the man multiple times with his own pen.  A condition on the victim hasn’t been released.

Greer fled the scene when "cops" were mentioned, but he was quickly tracked down.  Once in  custody, Greer allegedly said he would slap the victim again.

He has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
