Doctors continue to stay busy with flu patients

Tulsa area doctors continue to be especially busy with cold and flu season, but hope things will calm down soon. A primary care physician with Utica Park Clinic tells us most of his patients have been coming in with respiratory issues such as asthma and bronchitis.

He’s also seen cases of RSV, stomach virus and the flu. Dr. Sujan Joshi admits he’s busy but not as bad as last year due to the success of this year’s flu vaccine. Dr. Joshi is seeing a decrease in flu patients, leading him to hope the worst may be over.

Doctors recommend good hygiene, staying inside to rest with symptoms, and getting a flu shot to help prevent the spread of illness. Flu season lasts until late spring and it’s not too late to get your flu shot.
