Customers accuse Owasso restaurant of double dipping

An Owasso Mexican restaurant is under fire by customers for reportedly double dipping and we’re not talking about with chips and queso.

Instead, customers say they're seeing extra charges on their bank statements.

The problem is so wide spread, thousands of customers have taken to social media to post about the possible double dipping. One customer tells us she has read some horror stories.

“They’ve talked about how this just hit them for such a large amount that it left one family with just $18 for the next two weeks,” one customer said.

A manager at the restaurant says an error impacted thousands of customers who visited the restaurant between the months of August and January. Basically, the customers were not charged at the time and the business has since tried to recoup that money.

The manager estimates they lost around $60,000 to $70,000 when the error occurred.

For reference, El Tequila in Owasso has separate ownership from the Broken Arrow and midtown Tulsa locations.
