Child dies in crash, man arrested for murder

A 3-year-old is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Oklahoma County on Saturday.

An Oklahoma City newspaper reports a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Xavier Ware left the road and rolled. The unidentified child was thrown from the vehicle during this time.

Ware and an adult passenger did not seek medical attention for the child right away.  Instead, they left the scene with the 3-year-old on foot.

Eventually, a motorist was flagged down for assistance with the child's injuries. Oklahoma Highway patrol report the the kid was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Ware was arrested on counts of murder and child endangerment.  No word on if the passenger will be taken into custody as well.
