Robyn Irvine was asleep when she felt something strange and woke up to find a man trying to take her watch off of her wrist.
Not a smart move.
Robyn jumped up from her bed, yelled at the man and then grabbed the axe she keeps by her bed.
“He froze at first. I shocked him with my voice and then he took off,” Robyn said.
She keeps the axe there because she used to be a professional axe thrower.
Yep, that’s what we said, a professional axe thrower.
Robyn chased the man down her hallway.
“There was no way I could catch him but I could’ve thrown it, that’ll paralyze him. All I have to do is hit him in his spine.” Irvine paused and then finished “I hit what I aim for.”
Robyn told KVVU-TV one thought kept running through her mind.
“If you’re in my house, you’re not walking out.”
This time the bad guy got out before she could fling her axe.
Robyn said previous troubles at her house kept her on high alert.
“I am so in tune now,” she said. “I kind of relaxed for a while, and would go to bed early. Now see what happens?”
The frightened and lucky bad guy was arrested later by cops in Hemet, California but Robyn isn’t satisfied yet.
At least two other people were in the house going through things like the urns holding her parents ashes and her food.
An appalled Robyn said “they had sandwiches, they had soda.”
Irvine said next time she won’t be as thoughtful.
