Sun, June 18, 2017 — It’s a disturbing story out of Broken Arrow involving a 12-month-old girl.

KRMG’s told a 21-year-old was arrested on Friday, in connection with physical child abuse.

An arrest and booking report reads the girl was being babysat by a 17-year-old girl.  Her significant other, Jacob Dennis, was also there at the time.

After the parents picked up the child, she was taken to the hospital, where it was determined the 12-month-old had suffered an injury to a sexual organ, consistent with child sexual abuse.

During the investigation, it was learned Dennis was alone with the child for five minutes.  He was reportedly changing her diaper.

Police attempted to speak with Dennis, but according to the report, he was uncooperative.

“I called Jacob’s phone and his mother (redacted) answered and stated Jacob was unavailable and that she had retained an attorney for him and I would need to speak with the attorney,” police said.

He was later arrested at a residence on South Elm Street.  Dennis has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
