Update: The family provided an update Friday evening that Dallas Lowry died as a result of his injuries.

A 19-year-old Broken Arrow man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle.

Broken Arrow police told KRMG 20-year-old Kylah Pumphrey was driving down South Elm Place before 5 a.m. Thursday when she struck a bicyclist.

A witness called police and told them the driver left the scene and pulled into a nearby Wal-Mart parking lot.

Police located Pumphrey, who told them she drove off because she didn’t have a driver’s license and was scared.
