Bill Clinton tried to get Led Zeppelin back together

Clinton has experience in tense situations but even that didn’t pay off in the negotiations with the legendary band.

Clinton didn’t come up with the idea on his own, the former president was asked to get involved.
Hollywood bigwig Harvey Weinstein flew to Washington to enlist Clinton in the effort to have the band reunite for last year's Superstorm Sandy benefit concert in 2012.
CBS 60 Minutes Overtime webcast reported that the attempt was a flop.
The surviving members of the band are Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page. Original member John Bonham died in 1980.
The last time Led Zeppelin last played together in public was 2007.
The remaining members were also together last year when they were awarded Kennedy Center honors.
