Award offered for brutal killing of dog in Oklahoma

A Tulsa-based organization needs the public's help with identifying those responsible for the brutal killing of a family's dog in Jones last weekend.

The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of the suspect who repeatedly shot a 10-year-old dog named Sampson. According to the organization, the incident happened in the yard and Sampson was apparently shot in "the neck, the gut, and in the leg until the dog’s leg was blown off.”

Tulsa World reports anyone with information is urged to contact the Oklahoma City Police Department or OKC Animal Welfare.
