American adding 2nd nonstop flight to LA from Tulsa

Tulsa has always had trouble getting and keeping nonstop flights to the east and west coasts, even before the pandemic.

So it was good news for the city today, as Tulsa International Airport officials said that American Airlines is adding a second nonstop flight to Los Angeles in August.

TIA Spokesman Andrew Pierini says the current flight has been popular.

“We have about 220 passengers per day each way between LAX and Tulsa, and so it’s a good mix of both business and leisure,” Pierini said.

He said once the new flight begins, they’ll offer both a morning and evening option for flights.

Allegiant also offers nonstop service between Tulsa and Los Angeles.
