Adult tricycle race coming to downtown Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — A downtown Tulsa brewery is celebrating its one year anniversary this summer and creating what could become an annual tradition at the same time.

Welltown Brewing  opened in June last year and owner Jeremy Diamond told KRMG they're celebrating in a big way.

This June,  the space outside Welltown's storefront will become the site of the first ever Boulder Dash.

Boulder Dash is a downhill adult tricycle race.

Racers will go head-to-head in a single elimination competition.

They’re looking for teams of three. Two will push and one will drive.

And as if the challenging race isn’t enough, spectators will be hurling water balloons at the racers.

In addition to the racing, there will be a pit area nearby where tailgating is encouraged. The event is free for spectators.

Team registration begins at $75.

Registration is open now and the event is June 22nd. The day kicks off at noon and is expected to last until around 9pm.
