1,200 Oklahomans hired by Amazon

TULSA, Okla. — Amazon announced Monday they've hired more than 80,000 new employees, including 1,200 in Oklahoma.

Amazon said back on March 16 they would hire 100,000 full-time and part-time positions across the United States.

New employees will help Amazon meet the needs of those ordering goods online as part of the COVID-19 demand surge.

Many of the new employees had been laid off from other others jobs because of the pandemic, according to Amazon.

These new roles start with a minimum pay of $17 per hour.

Those interested in applying can do so here.
