Jenks man participating in ‘Dad Bod’ competition

TULSA, Okla. — A Jenks man is participating in the “Legendary Dad Bod Competition,” and it’s all for a good cause.

Michael Guerra is a loving father who discovered this fun competition on social media. Men’s Journal is hosting the contest to promote body positivity among men across the country.

“It’s okay to have a dad bod, and it’s okay to be a little fluffy,” Guerra said.

He took some pictures with his wife on a date, showing off his fatherly figure.

The best part of thee contest, according to Guerra, is that the money raised will go to the B+ Foundation, which supports families of children battling cancer.

What exactly is a dad bod? Guerra told FOX23, “To me, it’s a guy that doesn’t spend all of his time in the gym. He’s still strong, but he has some cushion in the midsection.”

Guerra also wanted to spread the message of body positivity, which isn’t always easy.

“Obviously women have always dealt with that for years, and men deal with it too,” he explained.

He’s doing really well in the competition! He has made it to fourth place in the quarter-finals, but he needs more votes in order to advance to the next stage.

That’s where you come in! If you have a Facebook account, you can vote, but voting ends tonight, so you need to do it soon. To vote, click here: https://legendarydadbod.com/2021/michael-guerra The winner gets a grand prize and a feature in magazine.
