Boston Avenue reopened after busted steam pipe leads to closure

Steam spilling onto the streets near East 6th Avenue and South Boston Avenue.

TULSA, Okla. — Update: Boston Ave. was reopened at about 6:45 a.m.


Tulsa police and the Tulsa Fire Department shut down East 6th Street to East 7th Street on South Boston Avenue around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A pipe broke overnight in the area and steam has poured out onto the nearby street.

Be prepared to use an alternate route if you need to travel in the area.
